Notes from the captain... May 2010
Firstly results:
Excellent! So far we have managed convincing wins in the LMRA vets and the Surrey Schools Vets, this followed up with a win in the Sir Edmund Elles at the weekend just gone, so all the main comps so far in our grasp!
On the Surrey League we are currently 4th in the table but just 2 points cover the top 5 teams so all to play for and a win in the next round could see us triumph in this one.
Well done to all those who have shot this year so far and there have been some excellent results. What is also really good to see is that for most competitions we are fielding two teams and this thanks largely to some of our younger members.
It's a game of two halves.... I mean second half of the season.
Looking towards the next two months after a few weeks off we do have a busy schedule once we get past mid June.
I will be circulating emails in the near future regarding the Total Challenge 19th June, Civilian & Astor 20th June, and of course the imperial meeting vets competition and dinner 15th July. Please do come along if you can especially the ASTOR, we do as always for this need A, O & T classes for the team as were only allowed 2 X class shooting. Also I would really like to beat the Old Guildfordians and Wandsworth who have taken this one from us for the last few years...
